As an artist, who is a Christian, I am rarely inspired by the offerings of the Christian/Worship music world. I often wonder why everyone sounds the same, or why the arrangements of the songs are so simple, and why you find the same songs recorded over and over again?

I recently ran across a band that I had heard of about 3 or 4 years ago. They had an awesome sound but blended into the offerings of the worship genre of the day. Gungor’s latest offering was a breath of fresh air. Their latest recording, Beautiful Things, is a mixture of unique sounds and textures that complement the honesty of the lyrics.
