Faithful

This weekend marked the end of a chapter in my life. Sunday was officially my last day working with the team at Park Community Church.

This decision did not come easy. Much thought and prayer went into the decision. My time at Park has been an invaluable chapter in my life. The team at Park has been amazing and have truly impacted my life in a way that will always be remembered.

The photo was taken only months after I started at park. I was part of the opening service of the Park Near North campus and has served as a strong visual reminder for me over the last couple of years. God has been faithful.

It has been a joy to serve with the men and women who make up the Park team and I will very much miss serving with them. I have joined the design team over at Church Solutions Group. CSG did all the audio/video/lighting installation at Park. During that time I became friends with the guys. This relationship has developed over the years. I am looking forward serving churches all over the nation with an amazing group of people that call CSG home.

  1. Oh Jason. This post is so bittersweet. It makes me so sad to think of our loss and so excited to know what amazing plans God has ahead for you in this next leg of your journey.

I’ll never forget your interview weekend and running to Joseph and telling him, “we HAVE GOT to hire him!”

You were exactly what Park needed and brought so much to our team… beyond the amazing sets and media. You were a vital part of the unfolding story of Park and Park will always bear your thumbprint [or at least the brown ceiling you demanded in the auditorium![.

I’m going to miss working with you so much… our random conversations, coffee breaks, long lunches, and times when you spoke truth to me in a very direct way. I am so thankful for you and your friendship, for the life your family brought to mine, and for sharing the moments of our charismatic pasts and explaining to our non-charismatic staff what being slain in the spirit meant.

I am so excited to see how God shows his faithfulness in this new chapter of your life and know that there are even greater things in store!

You will be missed my friend.

  2. Tim, you are making me tear up!!

For the record, Jason fought for a black ceiling. The compromise was brown.

And, Dude, quit being so melodramatic. Jason’s going to be volunteering @ParkChurch for a few weeks. He’s leaving the job, not the church. You coming to Friday Family Night? Settlers of Catan this week.
